Yes! I want to feel like a Top Model! ~ San Diego Boudoir Photography
Last week we had a super session in the studio with entrepreneur CF. CF had a complete day in our studio starting with Strawberries and champagne while our stylist Brenda E. worked on some Top Model worthy hair and makeup for her.
CF’s session included 11 different looks, her stylist on set with her all day for touch up’s and to change her hair and makeup to go along with each new look. Shadow Boudoir also partnered with the amazing Nan and Alexis from Classic Filmworks who captured the day for our her on video. Our session ended with a spectacular sunset and swimsuit photos worthy of Sports Illustrated.

Shadow Boudoir is helping to fight back! ~ San Diego Boudoir Pinup Photography
Last week we received an email from a advertising designer asking for permission to use one of our Pin-up images for a logo for a group called Pinups against Cancer. After looking a bit into the group we were more than happy to grant them usage permission on this image AND have also offered to donate $5.oo from each of our Pinup sessions to help them in their fight to find cures for cancer.
Now when you do your Pinup Calendar Girl session at Shadow Boudoir, you will not only be having a super fun time, and getting some amazing classic retro images, you will also be helping in the fight against cancer!

When you are online, secretly browsing for a studio to do your boudoir portraits…. how do you choose who is right for you?
At Shadow Boudoir, we suggest you do you look around. Who has images that just make you go….WOW!….. I would love to see myself like that! In the end, it’s the result of the images that count. Be sure to find out who will be shooting your session; ask to see that photographer’s work. Check with prospective photographers for referrals. We know making this choice is hard… it was hard enough just deciding to do this right? Try not to be drawn in by low pricing or big flashy marketing.
Shadow Boudoir is a smaller Boutique Boudoir studio located in North County. Our studio is dedicated to Boudoir and Maternity sessions. We are an all female staff that is all about making your boudoir experience… well.. the bomb!
Your photographer Heather, has over 20 years shooting this style of photography and is the only Boudoir Photographer in the area with two solo shows of her work at the San Diego Art Institute, has images in private collections in the US and Europe and who’s work in the field of Pinup Photography has been recognized with publication in a book of the new American Pinup. Before her journey into commercial photography, Heather was very involved with the art community of San Diego, with showings of her work in many art galleries. Some boudoir photographers teach… instead at Shadow Boudoir we do ;o)
Your session will always be shot by Heather. We have assistants/staff on hand to help you with your sessions, but all of our photography is done by Heather, herself. Our equipment is all top of the line, with professional studio lighting systems designed to give your session the most flattering professional results. Once your session is finished your image selections are expertly retouched giving every image you choose that cover of a fashion magazine look.

A few teasers from a recent session
Last week was a super busy one, we started the week with a session for JH, who booked our top package to papmer herself and give her sweetie a Christmas gift that cant be topped! Her session started with full hair and makeup with our professional stylist, and then went on to a 2 hour session with 5 outfit changes and a second look from our stylist who was on set throughout her session to refresh her hair and makeup. The end result is a beautiful custom designed album just in time for Christmas!
